上海师范大学化学系始建于
1954年。经五十余年来的规划发展,化学系地跨徐汇和奉贤两校区,已形成了一个学科分布合理、多专业交叉的教学和科研体系,招收本科、成人教育、国际联合办学、硕士、博士各层次的学生,为上海和长三角地区培养化学教育人才和应用型化学人才做出了贡献。
1997年始,化学系隶属于新组建的上海师范大学生命与环境科学学院。2004年起,测试中心挂靠化学系。目前化学系拥有化学教育、应用化学、化学工程与工艺、科学教育四个本科专业;无机化学、有机化学、分析化学、物理化学、环境工程、化工、化学教育等七个教研室;上海市稀土功能材料重点实验室、电化学、应用化学、工业催化、有机合成、新技术开发研究室和化学教育研究室六个研究室。化学系拥有先进的仪器设备包括NMR、
XPS、
GS- MS、
FT-IR、ICP、AAS、
激光Raman光谱仪,
SEM, TEM,
粉末X衍射,
XFS,
毛细管电泳,
各种气相和液相色谱,热分析仪等,总价值达3500万元.化学系现为理学一级学科硕士点,涵盖了物理化学、有机化学、分析化学、高分子化学、无机化学等五个二级学科硕士点,另外还有课程与教学论(化学)、应用化学、工业催化和环境工程等4个工科或环境硕士点。与华东师范大学、华东理工大学和湖南大学等高校联合招收博士研究生。
化学系已建成上海市教委物理化学重点学科、上海市稀土功能材料重点学科、校无机化学重点学科、校应用化学重点学科、校资源化学重点学科和校分析化学重点学科。2006年末,经上海市教委组织专家遴选,获准筹建上海市应用化学高地。此外,还拥有有机化学实验等上海市教委重点课程和有机化学、应用化学、分析化学等等一批上海师范大学校级精品课程。
目前,化学有教职工78人,其中教师54人,教辅人员24人;教授15人,占教师比例27%;副教授23人,占教师比例43%;讲师16人,占教师比例30%;博士28人(包括2名在读)。1人次上海市优秀学科带头人,2人次曙光学者,9人次获上海市科技启明计划(另有李和兴教授的启明星追踪计划1项),1个校级物理化学科研创新团队,2人次高校优秀青年教师,1人次教育部新世纪人才计划。
化学系现有在校本科学生881人;研究生172人。各类教学实验室和科研室建筑面积约 10000平方米,包括基础化学实验室、应用化学实验室、化学工程与工艺实验室、现代仪器分析实验中心、环境监测实验室、计算机房等。仪器设备固定资产约2500万元。各类专业图书2.5万余册,中外文专业期刊95种,并配备文献资料网络检索系统,保证了本科生与研究生教学和科研的需要。现有近30所中学实习基地,并先后在上海宝钢集团公司、上海天源化工公司、上海金山石化公司和上海吴泾化工公司等单位建立了20多个生产实习基地。化学系率先在学生中实行导师制,鼓励学有余力的学生参与科研工作,申报学校项目,参加各种学术竞赛,加强学生的动手能力和科研水平。同时设立就业指导中心,加强学生的就业指导,增强学生就业竞争能力。2001-2005年,本科学生参加科研工作发表的科研论文达到100多篇,申请发明专利6项。2人获上海市硕士优秀毕业论文。学生本科论文在每年举行的上海市本科优秀毕业论文交流会上多次获得一等奖和二等奖;在上海市首届大学生化学实验技能大奖赛中3人次分获二等奖和三等奖。学生还获得上海市三枪杯发明奖;上海市优秀毕业生;上海市科创杯一等奖;上海市挑战杯二等奖等荣誉称号。
化学系注重基础理论与应用基础理论研究,开展多项应用与开发研究,

863项目(含子课题)5项,主持国家基金委项目近20项,“十.五”
国家科技攻关计划重大项目1项,上海市(含教委和科委)重点或重大基础或攻关研究基金、一般面上基金,国家重点实验室开放基金等其它科研项目近百项,总经费近4500万。科研成果奖三十余项(不含上海师范大学校级奖),其中国家科技进步二等奖1项、上海市科技进步一等奖1项,省市级科技进步三等奖多项。在国内外核心学术刊物上发表论文数量和质量逐年提高,其中被SCI收录近千篇
(从99年起使用SCI扩展版),特别是2001年后,在JACS,

Brief Introduction for Department
of Chemistry
Department of Chemistry of Shanghai
Normal University was founded in
1954. Over the development for 50
years, it became one of the great
chemistry departments with the
multiple between-in disciplines, the
strongest teaching staff and the
higher academic level .Nowadays,
department of chemistry is
distributed in two campuses of Xuhui
and Fengxian.
The main undertakings of the
department are undergraduate
education, graduate education
including MS and PhD programs with
the aim of training high level
teachers of chemistry or
application-oriented chemical
talents for Shanghai and the Yangtze
River Delta.
Since 1997, Department of Chemistry
has belonged to the reestablished
College of Life & Environment. The
lab center has affiliated to
department of chemistry since 2004.
Now Department of Chemistry is
composed of 4 majors: Education of
chemistry, Applied Chemistry,
Chemical Engineering and Technology
and Education of Science, involving
in 6 disciplines of Inorganic
Chemistry, Organic Chemistry,
Analytical Chemistry, Physical
Chemistry, Chemical Engineering and
Chemistry Teaching, and possesses a
plurality of key laboratories and
research sections, including The Key
Laboratory for Functional Materials
of Rare Earth of Shanghai, Section
of Electrochemistry, Section of
Applied Chemistry, Section of
Industrial Catalysis, Section of
Organic Synthesis, Section of
Research & Development for the Novel
Techniques and Section of Chemistry
Teaching Skill. There are a number
of sophisticated advanced
instruments including NMR, XPS, GS-
MS, FT-IR, ICP, AAS, laser Raman
spectrometer, SEM, TEM, and powder
X-ray diffractometer, XFS, capillary
electrophoresis system, various gas
and liquid chromatographs and
thermal analyzers, etc., totaling up
to over 35 million Yuan. MS programs
covering the all subjects of
chemistry are Inorganic Chemistry,
Organic Chemistry, Analytical
Chemistry, Macromolecule, Physical
Chemistry, in addition to 2
engineering courses of Applied
Chemistry and Industrial Catalysis,
and 1 Curriculum and
Teaching(Chemistry).There are Ph.D.
programs co-enrollment with East
China Normal University, East China
University of Science & Technology
and Hunan University, etc..
Department of Chemistry is in
possess of a strong staff team, 78
members of faculty including 15
professors, wherein 6 supervisors
for Ph.D. students, 23 associate
professors, 16 lecturers. All of
them have abundant teaching and
research experiences and the over 30
% of them hold Ph.D. degree. Some of

Now Department of Chemistry has

supervision of Shanghai Municipal

Leading Academic Discipline of
Functional Materials of Rare Earth,
Shanghai Normal University Leading
Academic Disciplines for Inorganic
Chemistry, Applied Chemistry,
Resource Chemistry and Analytical
Chemistry. In 2006, It launched
Undergraduate Educational Highland
project of Applied Chemistry
sponsored by Shanghai Municipal
Education Commission. And also,
there are 1 Shanghai Municipal Key
Course for Experiment of Organic
Chemistry and 3 Fine Courses for
Organic Chemistry, Analytical
Chemistry and Applied Chemistry
financially supported by Shanghai
Normal University.
Currently, Department of Chemistry
has an enrollment of 881 full-time
undergraduates, 172 graduates, more
than 500 night school students.
Research and experimental areas of
Department of Chemistry reach about
10000 square meters covering
laboratory of fundamental chemistry,
laboratory of applied chemistry,
laboratory of chemical engineering
and technology, Lab center of modern
instruments, laboratory of
environment monitoring and
information center, etc.. It housed
32500 books, 96 Chinese or Foreign
Journals and several databank of
chemical electronic books for web
search. It has established
cooperation for practicing or
training base with more than 30
middle or high schools and above 20
leading enterprises such as Baosteel
Co., Ltd., Shangghai Chlor-Alkali
Chemical Co., Ltd., Shanghai
Petrochemical Co., Ltd., Shanghai
Wujing Chemical Co., Ltd., etc.
Department of Chemistry firstly set
up a system of research advisors for
undergraduate students around the
campus. The system encourages
students to take apart in the
creative research in their part-time
of studying and improves their
hand-on skills and research
abilities via application to
research projects by themselves, lab
jobs and experimental skill
competitions. In turn, it
established vocation guidance center
to enhance career instruction for
senior and strengthen their core
competition capability. From 2001 to
2007, over 130 research papers have
been finished and 8 patents have
applied by undergraduate students.
2 graduates got Shanghai Municipal
Prize for Distinguished MS
Dissertation. Our senior students
are annually awarded the first prize
or second prize in communication
forum for distinguished bachelor
thesis held by Shanghai Society of
Chemistry and Chemical Industry. 3
undergraduate students obtained the
second prize or third prize in the
First Experimental Skill Competition
for Shanghai College students,
respectively. The other honors are
including Shanghai Municipal
“Sanqiang” Cup, Shanghai Municipal
Prize for Excellent Graduation
Students, Shanghai Municipal First
prize of “Scientific Innovation”
Cup, National or Shanghai Cup of
Challenge for College Students.
Department of Chemistry post the key
figure in developing academic
disciplines in both of the
fundamental theory and applied
fields of chemistry. In recent 5
years, a number of teachers and
their research work have been
supported by 1 item of 973
program(branch), 5 items of 863
program (including branch
projects),20 items of NSF, 1 item of
the National Key Technologies R & D
Program of China during 10th of 5
years plan, several Shanghai
Municipal (or Education Commission)
Key or Major Programs and National
key lab open projects, totaling up
to over 45 million Yuan. They have
received many prestigious awards in
national and municipal academic
competitions including National
Second Prize for Progress in Science
and Technology, Shanghai Municipal
or state Prize for Progress in
Science and Technology (e.g. the
first or third prizes) up to 30
items. Every year, our faculty
members publish hundreds of academic
papers mostly in SCI journals.
Especially after 2001, some papers
